As my first and second co-op, I spent my time as a design researcher at The Live Well Collaborative. I also came back for two additional semesters as a part-time worker. Although there are NDAs limiting the details, I can share some of the process.

What Livewell Does
The Live Well Collaborative is a nonprofit design consultancy primarily working on semester-long projects in healthcare, travel and consumer goods. Along with Boeing, Council On Aging, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Livewell partners with P&G, University of Cincinnati, Hill-Rom, Pfizer, and many additional businesses. Projects are ran by small teams of co-ops and recent graduates advised by a faculty member. Each co-op is assigned to two projects.

During my experience, I got to work on projects that included many different opportunities, such as leading masters students in concept development and being the lead animator for a full 5-minute animation. I developed skills in many areas such as research, user interface design, animation, 3D modelling, VR modelling, systems design, concept development, client interaction, presentations and so much more. Livewell has been a life changing experience for me and I am grateful for the incredible learning environment and mentorship from my team leads and peers.
