Cincinnati Children's Sickle Cell Education Kit
This project wrapped up December 2023 with additional materials created Summer 2024, and is currently being processed by CCHMC.

Problem
Currently, there is a severe lack of accurate and clear education materials for parents of children with sickle cell trait. This is a problem across all interactions, from newborn screening counseling sessions to the available materials online. In addition to CCHMC wanting the education kit for their patients and counseling sessions, the education kit is also designed to impact individuals across the nation and state, providing standardized newborn screening process materials for other institutions to replicate and an animated overview of sickle cell trait to be uploaded online for any individual to watch.
